Classes & Workshops
Classes and Workshops
Advanced, intermediate and beginner metalworking classes are regularly offered at the Metalworker’s Guild each fall, winter and spring. Some classes involve demonstration of metalsmithing techniques while others focus on independent projects. Check the Society listing for current classes by clicking here. If you are a beginner and are interested in signing up for the next beginner’s class, please contact Sandy at (781) 862-9696.
Guild members organize workshops as interest arises and attract the best artists in the area for each type of workshop. We have recently had workshops in enameling (glass on metal), making glass fused jewelry, beading, making metal beads, and stone setting. These are announced as they are arranged. If you are interested in joining us for a workshop, please contact the LACS Office and we will put you on the listing for an announcement of the next workshop schedule.
Society members receive a reduced class fee and Metalworking Guild members have preference over non-members if a class is over-subscribed. Fees for classes are very reasonable when compared to other classes offered in the area.
